Every part is quoted before work starts. Simple brackets and adapters are usually a flat design fee; multi-part assemblies, complex surfacing, and full reproduction programs are quoted after reviewing photos and the part itself. Manufacturing is quoted separately so you always see the design cost and the production cost as two numbers.

Yes. Discontinued car part reproduction is a core service. A surviving part, even cracked, warped, or incomplete, is scanned or measured, rebuilt as a clean 3D model, and prepared for 3D printing, CNC machining, or fabrication.

The part is captured as a dense mesh, then that mesh is used as reference to rebuild the geometry as a real CAD solid with true flats, holes, radii, and bolt patterns. You get an editable model, not a raw scan file that no shop can work from.

Not always. Many jobs start from clear photographs plus a few caliper measurements. For parts with critical fitment or complex curvature, shipping the part in produces a far more accurate result. Parts are returned with the completed files.

Yes. File-only delivery is a standard option. You receive STEP, STL, and drawing files you own and can send to any shop you like.

Production is coordinated through qualified CNC machining, 3D printing, and fabrication partners. RPM Custom Design handles the design, the files, and the coordination so you deal with one point of contact.

Printing suits complex shapes, low volumes, interior and non-structural parts, and fast fit-checks. CNC machining suits metal parts that carry load, need tight tolerances, or live in high heat. The right process is recommended during quoting based on where the part sits on the vehicle.

A straightforward bracket or adapter is typically modeled within about a week of receiving the part or measurements. Reverse-engineering a complex assembly takes longer. Manufacturing lead time depends on the partner and process and is stated in your quote.

Yes, RPM Custom Design is based in Orange County, California, and works with customers nationwide. Local customers can drop parts off; everyone else ships parts in or works from photos and measurements.

You do. Files produced for your project are delivered to you and are not resold or reused for other customers.

Yes. Reproductions are frequently revised where the original failed, thicker ribs, larger radii, better material, relocated hardware. Tell us what broke and why, and the fix gets designed in.

Yes. Street builds, restorations, race and off-road vehicles, motorcycles, trucks, and shop tooling are all in scope.

RPM Custom Design is a custom part design and 3D modeling studio, not an engineering firm. Stamped or certified structural documentation, safety certification, and regulatory approval work are outside its scope and are not offered.
